Dundee applications up by a quarter
Applications to study at the University of Dundee have risen by 10% this year. Added to last year's 16%
rise applications have soared by nearly a quarter in the last two years making the University one of the
most popular in Scotland for prospective students.
Interest from international students has also risen even more sharply. Applications from outside the UK are
up 45% on last year.
University Secretary Dr David Duncan said: "We are delighted that more and more students want to study at the
University of Dundee. We achieve consistently high recommendations for teaching, have some of the most
innovative teaching methods in the UK and are investing more money every year in teaching, IT and student
facilities. The £100 million we are investing in teaching accommodation, student residences and the new
facilities in the Student's Association will make our campus the most desirable in Scotland for student
life."
Gordon Craig, Director of Student Recruitment said: "These figures from UCAS confirm the value of our
"serious fun" campaign over the last four years, and the success of our message about the University as a
serious place to study and have a great time."
