Pianist Colin Stone, of the acclaimed London Mozart Trio, will perform at the second concert of the University of Dundee's Evening series at 7.30pm on Thursday February 21.
Beginning his solo career in 1986 after winning the Royal Over-Seas League piano competition, Colin's first solo recording of Prokofiev's transcriptions of his own theatre music was released in 1994.
At the final of the prestigious Young Concert Artists Trust auditions a year earlier, conductor Sir Charles Groves praised the young pianist for his "rare musical qualities" and tipped him to succeed "at the very highest level."
Colin combines his performing with his role as a professor at the Royal Academy of Music.
His concert at the University's Bonar Hall will include Beethoven's Waldstein Sonata and Chopin's Ballade No. 4 in f minor.
Tickets are £6, £4 concession and £2 for students.
