Research offer

Arbroath Academy is interested in offering themselves and their facilities for any collaborative research projects with the University of Dundee to forge closer links between the school and the University.

The deputy rector, Mr Paul Meighan is keen to involve the school in research projects from any department, which would benefit from input from the school.

Previous collaborative work carried out by the University of Dundee's Applied Computing Department under Dr Peter Gregor and his team developed the use of computers to interview school pupils in the school, and resulted in the development of a commercialised product called 'Chatterbox'. If your department might be interested in such collaboration, please contact:

As part of a project, funded by the Sutton Trust, which the Wider Access Study Centre is carrying out this year, links have been forged with Arbroath Academy to further school - university contact.
