Candlelight carols
Photo opportunity: 5:00pm, Sunday 12 December, St Paul's Cathedral, High Street, Dundee
The University of Dundee's festive highlight - the Traditional Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols,
takes place this Sunday in St Paul's Cathedral at 5.00pm.
University Chaplain, Rev Dr Fiona Douglas will lead the service that is a favourite with staff, students
and the local community. The Carol Service will feature the University choir, Chamber Choir and staff
and students will read the lessons.
Rev Dr Fiona Douglas said, "The University carol service is a marked event in our local community
calendar. The peaceful and atmospheric event attracts visitors from across the locality each year and I
encourage anyone who would like a break from the festive rush to join us in this traditional service."
The University's Music Co-ordinator, Graeme Stevenson, is musical director for the service and will be
conducting the choirs.
Proceeds from the collection will go to Dundee Young Women's Centre.
The carol service will take place in St Paul's Cathedral, High Street, Dundee on Sunday 12 December at
5pm (free admission). All welcome.
