Photo opportunity: 9.45am, Saturday 6 December, 1st Floor, Tower Building, University of Dundee.
An event at the University of Dundee on Saturday 6 December will mark the launch of the Abertay Historical Society's new publication, volume two of Dundee's Literary Lives by Andrew Murray Scott.
Some of the city's most successful local writers - including W N Herbert, Billy Kay, Eileen Ramsay and Andrew Murray Scott - will discuss the influence that Dundee has had on their writing.
There will also be book signings and an open discussion session chaired by Professor David Robb the University's Department of English.
Matthew Jarron, Secretary of the Abertay Historical Society, said, "Andrew's fascinating publications bridge the gap between Dundee's hitherto under-appreciated literary history and the city's dynamic writing scene today. The University has important links with both of these, so it is an ideal place to host this special event."
The launch will take place 10am-1pm in the Baxter Conference Suite, 1st Floor, Tower Building, University of Dundee. Admission is free.
