The sound of the trumpet and the bang of the drum will be heard at the University's annual Christmas concert set in one of the most traditional Christmas settings this year - St Mary's parish church - one of the oldest churches in Dundee on Thursday 5 December at 7.30pm.
To herald the festive season, the University orchestra and choir will perform Charpentier's Te Deum. The orchestra will then provide an accompaniment for Haydn's Trumpet concerto with Kirsty Wiggins as soloist before they play out with a selection of themes from James Bond.
Dundee's own swing brothers Tony and Jason Sellars will lead local favourites, the University Big Band in the second half of the concert in some popular old time numbers.
Tickets are priced £6 (£4 concession) and are available on the door or from Raffles, Perth Road.
