A member of staff at the University of Dundee will take another step in the great symphony of life as she retires today after 29 years of service to the University.
Christine Mollison, executive officer in the University's personnel department and accomplished violinst with the Tayside Symphony Orchestra started work at the University in 1973 as a clerical assistant in the secretary's office.
University staff will pay tribute to Christine at a reception today when they will present her with a memento of her long career in University administration.
Christine said; "I am happy to retire. I've been here for a long time and I'm looking forward to some free time. I will miss my friends at work, but am anticipating new ventures and a new chapter in my life."
Christine intends to spend more time in her retiral playing her violin with the Tayside Symphony Orchestra, and will continue to be part of the University string ensemble. She also has plans to renovate her house and attend afternoon lectures at the University.
