Joe's journey is complete

Joe Symonds (21), the University of Dundee medical student who cycled from Land's End to John O'Groats with his Euphonium completed his cycle today and has announced that he raised a total of £6,154 for the Institute for Cardiovascular Research at the University of Dundee.

Joe played a total of a eleven concerts in towns and cities the length of Great Britain as he cycled up towards John O'Groats.

The student will now have a well desvered break at home before returning to Dundee in September for the third year of his medical course.

Joe said that he was delighted have completed the journey and wanted to thank all the people who supported him especially his mum Pauline (50) who cycled the whole journey with him.
