There is still time to sign up for the University of Dundee's Institute of Cardiovascular Research sponsored walks in beautiful Perthshire on September 14 and 15.
The TICR Treks will follow routes around Birnham, Dunkeld and the River Tay in order to raise funds for the £3.5 million Institute which will work to fight heart disease - Britain's number one killer.
On both days the walks will follow two routes - the eight-and-a-half-mile long red route for more experienced walkers and the five-mile blue route, which is more suitable for families and those who prefer a more leisurely stroll.
Amongst those already signed up are Dundee Lord Provost John Letford, MSPs John McAllion and Kate McLean and SNP leader John Swinney. They will be at Dunkeld Recreation Ground from 9.30am on their chosen day, with the walks kicking off at 10am.
Costs are £4 per person for one walk, £5 for both. Under 12s go free. Participants are also asked to collect sponsorship to boost the TICR fund. Dogs are allowed if kept on a lead.
There will also be a quiz, with the chance to win a night in the Hilton Dunkeld House or a Baxter's Balmoral hamper.
