The new Executive Committee of Dundee University Students' Association recently took office. The six student representatives, who were each elected in March of this year, will serve in office until August 2002. There is a strong local flavour to the new appointments with two members having attended schools in Dundee.
Matthew Marr, President of DUSA is a former pupil at Saint John's High School, while Maurice Golden, Vice-President Communications, attended Dundee High School. The other members are Chris Bustin, Deputy President; Graham Beers, Vice-President Services; Kate Ferguson, Vice-President Representation; and, Grant Simpson, Honorary Secretary.
Matthew Marr, President, said:
"This is one of the most exciting times in DUSAs history with the redevelopment of the association already underway. The new committee is looking forward to building on last year's successes.
"With Maurice and I both having attended schools in Dundee, we hope to build on the strong links which already exist between the students' association, the university and the wider Dundee community."
