The Dean of the Dental School at the University of Dundee proudly pulled on a special pair of white gloves today which were presented to him by his graduating dental students - a tradition to mark a clean sweep of passes by final year students.
Every single final year dental student passed their degree exams this year and all of them have gone on to secure employment with dental practices in Scotland and England. It has been four years since the gloves were last presented to the Dean marking an extremely hard working year of students at the University of Dundee.
Dean William Saunders said: "Our dental students this year were outstanding. The class were very close and each student would have been very upset if anyone had failed. I'm delighted to receive these gloves from the students - they traditionally represent a very successful and industrious school."
Lucy Brown (22) from Troon, Lorna Moncrieff (22) from Renfrewshire and Marshall Humphreys (23) from Northern Ireland presented the gloves to Professor William Saunders - a tradition which has been running since the 1920s.ENDS
