The University of Dundee is offering a record 150 courses for adults this autumn and is expanding to Fife with seven courses ranging from jazz music to science available at the Kirkcaldy campus.
All the popular favourites are on offer again this term with language classes at all levels and the excellent courses in fine art and textiles at Duncan of Jordanstone college of art and design.
Some new additions include a course on art and culture in ancient Egypt which will explore Egyptian art and what it tells us about their lives. In Search of Scotland will trace our rich history from earliest pre-history up to the dawn of the modern age - the sixteenth century, and Conservation Biology will teach all that you need to know about endangered species and the pressures on the human populations that live with these animals.
Keith Mackle of the Institute for Education and Lifelong Learning at the University of Dundee said: "We're really pleased to be offering a selection of courses in Fife. Our Kirkcaldy campus is a great place and we hope that the local people will participate in our adult learning programme. Once again this year we're offering a wider selection of courses. From Egyptian art to bird watching and personal time management to the Baa'i faith, hopefully everyone will find something to interest them."
The courses are offered at very competitive rates and most can be paid with an Individual Learning Account funded by the Scottish Executive. To open an ILA call 0808 100 9000. Discounts are also available for unemployed, full-time students and senior citizens. Brochures for the courses at the University of Dundee can be picked up at University reception in the Tower Building.
