The University of Dundee has now received accurate results from UCAS. Admissions tutors are now assessing the 190 applicants whose offers were dependent on these exam results and whose transcripts from UCAS were incomplete.
These cases are being reviewed by admissions tutors on a case by case basis. Those applicants whose corrected records show that they have fallen too far short of the entry requirements to be able to cope with their intended course will not be accepted.
Those applicants with borderline grades will be invited to enrol on the University's ASPIRE course - a four week programme that assesses the students academic capabilities. Those who pass ASPIRE will be invited to start their degree programme in October.
Students who had already been accepted to study at the University of Dundee have not been affected.
