Applications to the University of Dundee are up more than six times the Scottish average.
The latest figures from UCAS show that applications to the University are up 16.06% on last year compared to a Scottish average of 2.48% and a UK average of 4.49%. Dundee's performance outstrips all the other Scottish universities, registering more than double the next biggest % increase.
The increase refers to both home applications - up 16.24% (compared with a Scottish average of 2.52% and UK average of 3.65%) and overseas applications - up 11.83% (compared with a Scottish average of 1.78% and UK average of 14.62%).
Gordon Craig, the University's Director of Admissions and Student Recruitment said, "This is great news for the University and reflects that fact that we are continuing to raise the University's profile. Students are being attracted by the array of exciting new courses on offer, such a Sports Biomedicine and Interactive Media Design, and are also realising that this University is simply a great place to be."
