Lorraine Kelly's installation as Dundee's Rector

Lorraine Kelly, the newly elected Rector of the University of Dundee will be installed in a special
inauguration ceremony on Wednesday 28 April and will be the focus of the traditional drag from Dundee's City
Chambers to the University in a colourful parade.
Students from the University women's rugby team will carry Lorraine in the special carriage from the City
Chambers where she will be met by Student President Chris Bustin and welcomed to the City of Dundee by the
Lord Provost John Letford.
Lorraine will then be "dragged" in the carriage from the City Square to the University stopping off at three
public houses on the way for refreshments. On arrival at the University's Tower Building the Principal of the
University of Dundee Sir Alan Langlands will greet Lorraine before the official installation ceremony begins.
Lorraine will deliver her official Rectorial address during the ceremony in the Bonar Hall.
A champagne reception will be held on the Tower lawn after the ceremony for students and staff to welcome
Lorraine to the University.
