Family Fun Day
Photo Opportunity: Saturday 24 April, 11:00am, Botanic Garden, Riverside Drive, Dundee
Adults and children are invited to the Family Fun Day at University of Dundee's Botanic Garden this Saturday,
24 April.
The Botanic Garden on Riverside Drive will be opening its gates at 10am to give visitors of all ages a chance
to take part in a day of fun activities including the Pot a Plant event where children can pot a plant and
take it home to watch it grow.
Children can let their imaginations run wild in the Jungle Tunnel where the storytelling is taking place in
the midst of a recreated atmosphere complete with jungle sounds and foliage. Face painting is available and
visitors can try painting a natural art picture, as well as take part in the Wacky Workshops and create
animals out of paper. Small animals, a snake and honey bees can also be seen in the Garden.
For the parents, staff will be on hand to take queries and give advice on plants. Gifts and plants are on
sale in the Plant Centre and the coffee shop is open all day serving refreshments.
Normal admission rates apply - Adults £2, Children/Concession £1 and children three and under are free.
