Dundee University Professor of History Christopher Whatley is to open a Higher History Conference for pupils on Friday (April 20).
Over 100 S5 and S6 pupils from across the city will attend the event, designed to help them with topics in the Higher and the Higher Still exams.
There will be workshops and presentations on subjects including Scottish migration and the Cold War.
Professor Whatley will speak to the pupils about the relevance and importance of history.
The programme has been set up by the university in consultation with history teachers and the educational development service.
