Deputy Dean to lead classmates on reunion tour
The Deputy Dean of the University of Dundee's Medical School will give his old classmates a tour of their old stamping
ground this weekend.
Professor Gary Mires, Deputy Dean of the Medical School and Director of the Medical Education Institute, was one of the
class of 1983 graduating from Dundee.
They have since celebrated 10- and 20-year reunions and this weekend will return to the city for their 30th anniversary
get together.
'This is the first time we have actually held the reunion in Dundee and we have people coming from all over the world,'
said Professor Mires. 'It is a great time for them to be coming back to the Medical School as we are now well on with
our programme of upgrading, so they will be seeing some of the new facilities.'
The class of 1983 are one of two groups of medics celebrating a reunion this weekend. Their predecessors from the class
of 1973 are also in the city this weekend.
