Dundee's excellence in medicine and life sciences recognised in world rankings

The University of Dundee's excellence in Medicine and Life Sciences has been recognised in the QS World University Rankings 2013/14.

Dundee is ranked 55th= in the world for Medicine and Life Sciences.

'The QS rankings once again emphasise the international standing of research in Medicine and Life Sciences at Dundee and we are encouraged by a rise of 21 places in the subject table this year,' said Professor John Connell, Vice-Principal for Research and Head of the College of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing.

'The world rankings are increasingly competitive as countries beyond the traditionally strong areas such as Europe and North America continue to invest heavily in higher education and research.

'We have built a very strong presence in Medicine and Life Sciences. These subjects set the benchmark for success we aim to achieve throughout the University.'

The University as a whole is again ranked in the top 250 institutions in the world in the new edition of the rankings.
