Dragon's performance switched to Sunday October 27th
'Dragon's Den' star Duncan Bannatyne will now make his appearance at the Dundee Literary Festival on Sunday October 27th.
Mr Bannatyne was originally scheduled to talk at the festival on Friday October 25th but the date has had to be switched and
will now take place at 5pm on the 27th.
'We are delighted that Duncan is able to come to Dundee to join us at this year's Festival,' said Peggy Hughes, of Dundee
Literary Festival.
Mr Bannatyne will be speaking about his second volume of memoirs, 'Riding The Storm'. In the book he talks about how he
survived personal and professional setbacks, including the break-up of his second marriage and the recession.
As well as talking candidly about his own businesses, Duncan discusses the way the financial crisis unfolded and the
conversations he had with Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling at the time; he uses his experiences from Dragons' Den to offer
advice to start-up entrepreneurs in today's market; he reveals the true nature of his relationships with the other
dragons; he discusses the opportunities that success has given him, from learning to dance for Sport Relief to trekking
up Kilimanjaro with his daughter; and he explains why, in spite of having just gone through the toughest years of his life,
he feels positive about the future - and why you should too.
Mr Bannatyne's talk will take place at 5 pm on Sunday October 27th in the Bonar Hall. Tickets are priced £5 (£3 concessions)
and are available through the Literary Festival website at www.literarydundee.co.uk and at Dundee Contemporary Arts,
Waterstones in Commercial Street and the Overgate Centre.
Dundee Literary Festival takes place from Wednesday October 23rd to Sunday October 27th.
