University group promotes discussion with community organisations

The University of Dundee's Engagement and Participation Group will next week host an event to promote better links with businesses, charities and community groups.

This group is a collaboration between different Schools and Colleges aiming to reach out to the local community in order to get them more involved with research taking place within the University.

The event, for invited groups and organisations, takes place in the Steeple Church, Nethergate, from 12-5pm on Wednesday, 23rd October.

Group leader Dr Fernando Fernandes said, 'We are looking at a more systematic and strategic way to engage with Dundee-wide organisations as a means to develop research and action to address inequalities.'
