Dozens of fully funded postgraduate places available
Fully funded places on taught postgraduate programmes at the University of Dundee have been made available as part of a Scottish Funding Council (SFC) initiative to develop a high-level skills base across key sectors of the Scottish economy.
A total of 49 places have been funded on five specific courses. The places cover all tuition fees associated with the MSc programmes and applicants classified as Scottish or EU for fee purposes are eligible to apply.
Funded places will be awarded competitively to applicants with the strongest applications in the judgement of the course leaders. This will principally be based on a student's prior academic performance, but equivalent work experience may also be taken into account.
The relevant programmes are:
- MSc Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
- MSc Design & Construction of Zero Carbon and Ultra-Low Energy Buildings.
- MSc Geotechnical Engineering.
- MSc Managing in the Energy Industries.
- MSc Water Hazards, Risk & Resilience.
"This is an exceptional opportunity for graduates looking to build on their existing skills base and qualifications to enhance their prospects and also for employees in these industries looking to take the next step in their career," said Ian Ball, Dean of the Graduate School of Natural Resources Law, Policy and Management at the University, who led the Dundee project.
"The SFC has recognised that investment is required to support growth in these vital sectors and we are delighted to be able to offer fully funded places on these highly relevant and vocational programmes tailored to the needs of industry."
