Little artists get their own degree show
Thousands of people have already enjoyed the stunning work laid out in the annual Degree Show at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. Now a future generation of artists are set to display their own work at the University of Dundee.
The children at the University Nursery have been studying artists and artwork both in the local area and from the wider world of art. This has inspired them to make a series of paintings, models and collages that will be displayed on Thursday May 23rd.
Nursery manager Jacky Jones said, "The children have reproduced popular works by Van Gogh, and have been fascinated by graffiti art they saw on an outing, so much so that they have produced their own.
"It is great for them to have family and friends coming along to see their own exhibition. One of the key aims of the nursery is to instil a lifelong love of learning in the children who attend and this exhibition displays one way we are achieving this. Perhaps in years to come we will be viewing some of these children's artwork at the DJCAD degree show!"
The Nursery art exhibition takes place from 7 - 9pm on Thursday May 23rd in the University Nursery, Balfour Place.
