Students and graduates to size up opportunities at Careers Fair
Students and graduates of the University of Dundee will come face-to-face with prospective employers at this year's Careers Fair, which takes place later this month.
More than 50 companies, postgraduate providers and other organisations will be exhibiting at the event, which takes place at Bonar Hall between 11am-2.30pm on Tuesday, 23rd October. There will be information on graduate vacancies, internships, volunteering, vacation work and further study.
Attendees will have the chance to impress employers from the public, private and voluntary sectors, gather information of potential career paths, and learn how they might explore opportunities across several industries locally, nationally and internationally.
The event is organised by the University's Careers Service, and attracts a large turnout each year.
"In a difficult economic climate, it is vital that students and graduates take every opportunity to make an impression and improve their chances of filling vacancies in the future," explained Karen Sleith of the Careers Service.
"This might help them steal a march on their rivals and talk directly to prospective employers. This event is a great opportunity to network with a broad range of local and national graduate recruiters and postgraduate providers. Those attending will have the opportunity to ask questions in an informal setting about their career."
The Careers Fair is open to all students and graduates. More information on the organisations who will be attending can be found at the Careers webpage.
