Fifty-seven students will be congratulated for their hard work and determination and be presented with prizes at the College of Life Sciences Student Awards event on Friday, 9th November. This annual event celebrates the achievements of top-achieving students from the last academic year.
Professor David Coates, Dean of Learning & Teaching congratulated all prize-winners on their awards.
"Each year I am delighted to see the parade of outstanding students who, quite rightly, have their achievements recognised," he said. "This is an important evening for the College of Life Sciences because seeing these high-achieving students receiving their awards will help to inspire their peers.
"These young people represent all our futures, and every year it is a humbling experience to be involved in this event. It is a pleasure to help teach such able and committed students. We are justly proud of them."
This year's top prize-winner is Magdalena Grzeszczuk. They 23-year-old from Poland, who graduated in the summer with a First Class BSc (Hons) Molecular Biology, will receive four awards - the British Association 1939 Prize, Molecular Biology Honours Prize, Society of Biology Award, and the Sir James Black Award for Outstanding Achievement - at the ceremony.
