Dundee Literary Salons 2012
Award-winning Australian poet, novelist and screenwriter Emily Ballou, who most recently worked on the television adaptation of the international best-seller 'The Slap', will launch the 2012 programme of the popular Dundee Literary Salons series later this week.
Emily will explain the process of adapting novels for TV or film, give tips to would-be screenwriters, and discuss her work when she appears at Dundee Contemporary Arts' upstairs meeting room from 5-7pm on Thursday, 2nd February. The series is organised by Literary Dundee, a University of Dundee initiative to promote interest in literature.
The Literary Salons bring together members of the local community to meet with publishers, writers and agents to discuss writing, culture and ideas in an environment that is informed but informal.
All Literary Salons are free, and open to all, and refreshments will be provided. Zoe Venditozzi of Literary Dundee will host all
the salons. More information about the series can be found at the Literary Dundee website or from the Literary Dundee Facebook page.
