Robert Burns the focus of research seminar
An examination of the poetry of Robert Burns, and his views concerning the father of modern economics, Adam Smith, will take place at the University of Dundee next week.
Professor Nigel Leask from the University of Glasgow will visit Dundee to take part in English's Visiting Speaker Programme on Wednesday, 15th February.
The research seminar, entitled 'To see ourselves as others see us: how did Robert Burns read Adam Smith?' will take place at Baxter Suite 1.36 from 4-6pm.
Staff, students and members of the public are welcome to attend.
Nigel Leask is Regius Professor of English at Glasgow, and is the author of a series of major studies of British writing in the Romantic period.
