Tenants raise money for Parkinson's and diabetes research
Photo opportunity: 10.30am on Wednesday, 11th May at Sidlaw House, Turnberry Avenue Dundee. Mrs Winks and Mr Larg will present cheques to charity representatives.
Two popular tenants of Sidlaw House, Dundee have raised £800 after asking family, friends and fellow residents to help them celebrate landmark birthdays by giving generously to worthy causes.
Mrs Margaret Winks and Mr Jack Larg recently held a joint celebration for their 70th and 80th birthdays respectively and, in lieu of presents, asked that donations be made to the University of Dundee Diabetes Research Campaign and the Parkinson’s Disease Comfort Fund.
The sum raised will be split evenly between the two charities, and cheques will be presented to Karen McKinley and Nicola Blain from Parkinson’s Disease Comfort Fund, and Rebecca McSherry from the University of Dundee Diabetes Research Campaign in the Sidlaw House reception at 10.30am on Wednesday, 11th May.
