Skull experts gather in Dundee
Experts in craniofacial reconstruction from around the world are gathering at the University of Dundee for a major symposium.
The University’s Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification (CAHID) is a world leading centre of expertise in the field. Caroline Wilkinson, Professor of Craniofacial Identification, is one of the team currently featured in the major BBC series 'History Cold Case'.
The two-day international craniofacial reconstruction symposium takes place at the University today (Wednesday July 20th) and tomorrow. It is being attended by around 60 delegates from 16 different countries.
'We will be discussing the professionalisation of the field and the creation of international standards and a code of practice,' said Professor Wilkinson.
'We have delegates from Russia (sponsored by the Royal Society), China, New Zealand, Australia, USA, Turkey, Czech Republic and Europe. We will be discussing all things face and skull!'
