Assistive technology experts meeting in Dundee

Experts in assistive technology from across Scotland will gather at the University of Dundee tomorrow (Monday November 22nd) to discuss the latest developments in the field.

Assistive technology refers to any product or service designed to enable independence for disabled and older people. The University of Dundee is world-renowned for its research capability in the field.

The meeting at the University on Monday and Tuesday features the ATANET group, a network of Assistive Technology practitioners in Higher Education in Scotland.

Organiser Andy McMahon said the meeting would provide a platform for sharing good practice across the sector.

'This is a key meeting for the sector in Scotland and will see the latest advances in assistive technology and its development as a field for education and research,' said Andy, who is based in the Information Communication Services department at the University.

The meeting takes place at the Dalhousie Building at the University from 10am on Monday.
