The Scottish Construction Forum, the sector-wide body made up of senior representatives from across the industry, clients, government and enterprise agencies, is holding a meeting at the University of Dundee tomorrow (Tuesday March 2nd).

Members of the Forum will be welcomed to Dundee by Professor Peter Downes, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University.

The University has close links with the Forum and the Scottish Construction Centre - Emeritus Professor of Engineering Management, Professor Malcolm Horner, is a permanent director of the SCC, which has an office on the campus at Dundee.

"I am delighted that the University is hosting our meeting and look forward to a very interesting discussion at a time when the industry is facing up to the challenges presented by the current economic climate," said Professor Horner.

The Scottish Construction Forum was formed in 2004 to :

  • Improve the performance of the industry
  • Create a connected & innovative industry
  • Achieve recognition of the industry's contribution to Scotland

The Forum plays a central role in co-ordinating the wide interests of the Scottish construction industry.
