Family celebration for graduation

Maureen and family will be available for pics this afternoon at the Graduation ceremony

Graduation at the University of Dundee is a real family affair for Maureen Campbell today (Friday June 25th).

Maureen, (50), from Wellbank, is a lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University and will be collecting an MSc in Advanced Practice at the afternoon graduation ceremony.

At the same ceremony, her daughters Erin (25) and Afton (24) are also graduating, as is Erin’s boyfriend Peter Smith (28).

Erin is collecting her Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing while Afton and Peter are both graduating BA in Nursing.

'It is going to be a real family celebration,' said Maureen. 'It didn’t dawn on us until fairly recently that we would all be graduating at the same ceremony but it is great to get it all done in the one day.

'The even better news is that the three young ones have all already secured jobs in nursing, which is fantastic.'
