Photo opportunity: 5pm, Friday, November 27th at Dalhousie Building, University of Dundee.

High achieving Life Sciences students from the University of Dundee will have their outstanding academic performance recognised next week.

Students at the College of Life Sciences who have achieved success in their studies through hard work and determination will be formally congratulated at a prize-giving ceremony being held on Friday, November 27th.

In total, 52 students will receive special recognition at the College of Life Sciences Student Awards event. This annual event celebrates the remarkable achievements of students from the last academic year.

With a whopping nine prizes, 21-year-old Lianne Woodley, originally from Lanarkshire, is notable even amongst her high-flying peers. Lianne’s awards include the prestigious Armistead Bursary, the Roger Booth Prize, Lippincott Human Anatomy Prize, Scheuer Medal and the Stephen Williamson Prize.

Professor Roger Soames, Interim Dean for Learning & Teaching, congratulated the prize-winners, saying, 'This is an important evening as we celebrate the achievements of our students. It is quite humbling to be involved in teaching such able and committed students. They represent some of the most accomplished young minds in Dundee, and we are justly proud of them.'
