Dundee lecturer to address international symposium
A University of Dundee lecturer will address an international audience on the future of interactive technology design at a prestigious industry event to be held in Croatia later this week.
Master of Design Programme Leader, Hazel White has been invited to present at the International Symposium on Interaction Design, which takes place at the University of Split on Friday.
Hazel is one of 20 leading European practitioners and researchers from the fields of art, design and computing with a desire to exploit the latest technologies in creative practices who will be taking part.
Her presentation will outline the interaction design work carried out at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design and discuss future developments. Hazel will also take the opportunity to promote the University to potential research and commercial partners from across Europe.
She said, 'The fact I have been invited to present at this event alongside some of Europe’s best researchers and practitioners is a recognition of the innovative approach we take to design and technology and our growing reputation in this field.'
'This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the research and teaching in interaction design undertaken at Duncan of Jordanstone and to foster links with European partners.'
The event is sponsored by the British Council and offers the opportunity to forge partnerships in both design research and design education.
The Research Assessment Exercise 2008 recognised Duncan of Jordanstone as one of the UK’s top art colleges for research.
