Congratulations for Turner Prize-Nominated former tutor
Staff at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design have expressed their delight after Cathy Wilkes, a former tutor at the College, was named as one of the artists shortlisted for this year's prestigious Turner Prize.
Cathy was a tutor on the Fine Art course at the College, part of the University of Dundee, from 1996 to 2000.
'Cathy was very popular with students and staff alike while she was teaching here and everyone is delighted to see her go on to such a marvellous success,' said Professor Tracy Mackenna, Head of the School of Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone.
'I know many of her former students in particular will be absolutely thrilled to see her name on the shortlist for the Turner Prize.'
Cathy Wilkes is one of four artists shortlisted for this year's Turner Prize, the most high-profile prize in UK art.
