Dundee Literary Salons return

A new term at the University of Dundee means more free literary salons.

The salons are open to everyone and are hosted by Kirsty Gunn. Each salon has a speaker from the literary world who comes to discuss their work and answer questions. Each session is followed by the chance to stay and have a drink and a chat.

The first salon of the new term is Dundee Poets and will be held on 9th October from 4pm to 6pm. Dundee University is home to a range of poetic voices and you'll have a chance to listen to three of them: Jim Stewart, Tim Morris and Nicole Devarenne all teach English and write poetry and they'll be reading from their work and answering your questions about anything from how to kick-start your own poems to understanding and learning from the work of others.

Tickets are available from www.buyat.dundee.ac.uk/ and go to e-tickets, then to free lectures. You can also get tickets by calling 01382 384768.

This session will be held at the Dalhousie Building, University of Dundee. All other salons will be held at the DCA as usual.

On 6th November, Alison Baverstock will be coming to tell people how they can get their work published, while on 27th Noveber, Michael Schmidt will be in conversation with Gavin Wallace. Tickets for both these salons will be available from the DCA.
