Publishing bursaries available

The University of Dundee is offering two bursaries of £5,000 to postgraduate students in the College of Arts and Social Sciences who wish to work in publishing.

The students will be given the opportunity to work in Dundee University Press, a successful publishing company that has, since starting in 2007, published 25 books with 50 more in the pipeline.

The students will have to commit to spending 500 hours - normally a day a week over a period of a year - in the DUP office engaging in a range of aspects of publishing including marketing and promotion. Opportunities for development in editorial, production or other aspects of publishing may be available depending on the candidate’s interest, availability and experience. Applications from those with a background in the humanities or law are particularly welcome.

Each bursary will be paid in two instalments.
