Graduate wins prestigious award
A University of Dundee animation graduate has won an award at a prestigious film festival.
Reza Dolatabadi, who graduated with a BSC in animation in June, was awarded Best Animation
for his short film, Khoda at London's Canary Wharf Film Festival.
Khoda is described as a lavishly painted masterpiece that contrasts with the
depiction of a nightmarish world. Even in the mind, is escape ever possible?
The CWFF works with emerging talent from the local area and beyond. This year
the expanded programme included the very best shorts from local, UK and worldwide talent.
Reza says, 'It was great to win because it was my first film, the film's first
screening and it was the first festival that it was shown in. It was a great chance
to meet some creative people and a very new experience in my life.'
His film is on the Media Arts & Imaging website: http://imaging.dundee.ac.uk/animation/khoda.html.
