Computing's 'first ladies' head up prizewinners
The year's best performing computing students at the University of Dundee will
be honoured this week at the annual prizegiving ceremony for the School of
Computing.
Heading up this year's list of winners are the Schoolıs 'First Ladies' of
computing Yasmeen Ahmad and Suzanne Prior, each of whom achieved a 1st Class
Honours Degree in addition to a host of other awards.
'It has been an excellent year for our students, many of whom have put in an
outstanding performance,' said Professor Peter Gregor, head of the School of
Computing.
'Suzanne and Yasmeen in particular have been amazing, winning not just class
awards within the School but taking some major prizes on an international
level. They and the rest of our students have been a real credit to computing
at Dundee.'
The prizegiving ceremony is supported by NCR, who maintain close links with
the School of Computing.
The awards ceremony takes place at 11 am on Wednesday September 24th in the
Queen Mother Building, where the School is based.
