Dundee Hosts 'Green Week' 24th-28th November 2008
The leaves may have fallen from the trees but the University of Dundee will be a bright shade of green next week.
Staff and students at the University will be taking part in 'Green Week', a series of events highlighting the wide range of 'green' activities ongoing across the campus, from recycling awareness and Fair Trade goods to energy and water efficiency programmes.
'The University has a wide range of projects which aim to make us as environmentally responsible as possible,' said Trudy Cunningham, environment and sustainability officer at the University.
'For Green Week we wanted to highlight as much of this work as possible and let staff and students see how they can participate.'
There will be a different themed event each day, from Fair Trade Day on Monday through to a Christmas Green Fair on Friday, where all the goods will be either organic, produced locally or Fair Trade.
Events on each day run from 11am to 2pm. Monday to Thursday events take place in the Students’ Union while Friday’s Christmas Fair is being held in the Dalhousie Building on Old Hawkhill.
