New bursaries available
Outstanding students at the University of Dundee could lessen the financial burden of a Masters course with one of seven new bursaries.
The new Carnegie-Cameron bursaries are each worth £3,315. Criteria for awarding the money will coincide with the qualities envisaged by Andrew Carnegie - that the candidate be qualified and deserving, industrious and ambitious and that the candidate would derive particular benefit from a one-year, taught, postgraduate degree which he or she would be unlikely to enjoy without the award.
The awards will be given to students who students who are undertaking the one year taught masters programme (although the course can be completed over two years, part time).
Competition for the bursaries is open to those who are Scottish by birth or parentage or continuously resident in Scotland for 3 years for the purpose of secondary or tertiary education.
Application forms are available from Lorraine Martin, Principal’s Office, Tower Building, University of Dundee, Dundee, DD1 4HN. They should be returned by 1st September.
