Lower Foyer Gallery, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, University of Dundee

Preview: Friday 15 February 2008, 5-7pm
Closing event: Friday 29 February, 5-7pm
Exhibition dates: 16 Feb - 1 March

Everyday objects taken out of ordinary settings and an evolving project which will see used teabags turned into a quilt form the latest exhibition at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee.

The Art, Philosophy, Contemporary Practices fourth year students, through an interrogation of their processes, present a show which makes visible the underlying theories in their practices. The audience is invited to an opening and closing of the show to allow the process and progression of the exhibition to be seen.

Breeshey Gray will open with a tea ceremony, all used tea bags will be saved and the process of the tea drinking will be saved within the bags. During the exhibition run tea will be served to the audience and these bags will also be kept. At the Closing on the 29th Feb these teabags will become a social sculpture as they are sewn into a quilt.

Tielia Delanzo’s work is based round Heidegger's non aesthetic theory and called 'the thing is...' use of familiar materials and equipmental objects found in the everyday, taken out of the familiar and left to the preserver.

CCTV recordings, polaroids and written word will record and document the project throughout and be displayed in the entrance to the space.

Two individual public performances will be held in the space, the first on the 19th February and the second on the 21st
