Professor Sheila Bird, of the MRC Biostatistics Unit at Cambridge, will deliver the third Mackenzie Lecture, an annual event hosted by the Health Informatics Centre.
Professor Bird’s lecture is titled ‘Best laid plans: record linkage illuminates public health, and other jurisdictions’ and will examine the impact analysis of records and statistics is having across the health service and into other areas.
Professor John Frank, Director of the new Scottish Collaboration for Public Health Research Policy, will respond. The Lecture will be followed by a Q&A panel session, and the event will be chaired by Mr Sandy Watson, Chairman of NHS Tayside.
