Dundee welcomes National Student Survey results

The University of Dundee has welcomed the results of the 2007 National Student Survey which places the institution 13th in the United Kingdom according to overall student satisfaction.

The annual survey is the biggest poll of students' attitudes towards teaching, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources and personal development. This is the first year that Dundee has taken part in the survey.

Dundee ranks 13th in the UK table in response to the key question - "Overall, I am satisfied with the quality of my course".

"Dundee's very high placing reflects our strong focus on excellence in all aspects of student life, especially in teaching, facilities and student support," said Dr David Duncan, Secretary of the University.

"We offer students a fantastic experience at Dundee an afterwards they go on to enjoy among the highest graduate earnings in the UK."

"At the same time, we can not be complacent - we will learn from the results of this survey and expect to do even better next year."

The results of the survey are published on the new Unistats.com website, which provides information for students and parents and which has replaced the Teaching Quality Information (TQI) website.
