`Climate change - is it really all our fault?’ - Deepr public lecture
The controversial issue of global climate change and man’s contribution to it will be addressed at a public lecture at the University of Dundee tomorrow (Tuesday 23rd Oct).
In his lecture `Climate Change - is it really all our fault?’, Dr Wilson Flood will argue against man-induced climate change. Dr Flood is a retired science education advisor who has a particular interest in climate change.
The lecture, which takes place in the Baxter Conference Suite in the University Tower Building at 7 pm tomorrow night (Oct 23rd) is being hosted by the newly-revived Dundee Electronic Engineering, Physics and Renewable Energy Society
The society had been dormant for some years but has now been brought back to active life by a group of students. "The aim of the society is to bring the students together and create a strong team spirit and support network enabling students to get the most from their time at Dundee," said Matthew Mullan, society secretary.
"We are planning a series of guest lectures and hope to be attracting some very big names in science to give them, and other initiatives include a trip to CERN in Switzerland and to the Jodrell Bank Observatory. We have also attracted some sponsorship from the Nether Inn, for which we are extremely thankful."
The society has also established a website at www.deepr.co.uk
