Presentation of the award to the winner
Three students from Town and Regional Planning at the University of Dundee have been selected to present their proposals for the future of the city's Lochee area for the final judging of the Dundee Civic Award 2007.
The students have developed supplementary planning guidance for issues facing the area, including the regeneration of the Stack Leisure Park and traffic and parking in Lochee High Street.
The award will be presented by Mr Mike Galloway, Director of Planning and Transportation, Dundee City Council, and himself a past winner.
"It is very gratifying that Dundee University continues to produce high calibre planning students, and they are fortunate to be entering the profession at a time when there is an increasing need for well-trained graduates," said Mr Galloway.
The three students, all in their third year, are Heidi Clarke (Newtownards, Northern Ireland), Frances McKernie (Dundee) and Michael Lorimer (Ballymena, Northern Ireland).
Presentation of the Award will take place at 3.30 pm on Tuesday 27 March 2007 in Town and Regional Planning, Level 7, Matthew Building.
