Town and Regional Planning students come up trumps

University of Dundee students from the department of Town and Regional Planning were celebrating after winning the annual Planning magazine quiz.

The 4th year students beat five teams to take the top place at the quiz, which featured five categories filled with planning questions.

The team, Gregor Spence, Alison Waite, Stewart McNally and Jamie Scott took home a cheque for £500 to divide between them.

Jamie, who is also the first in his year to receive a job offer for after graduation, says, "It was a great feeling to win, especially as we are under graduates and all the other teams were post graduates."

Barbara Illsley, Convener of Town and Regional Planning, says, "This is an excellent result for the students and everyone in the department is delighted at the team's success. This is the second time that Dundee University Town and Regional Planning students have won this competition in three years and I hope that we can win it again next year."
