Students to receive cheque from John Clark Group
Dundee University students who are building their own racing car to take part in a national competition have secured a major sponsorship deal with the John Clark Motor Group.
The DRIVE (Dundee University Race Innovation and Vehicle Engineering) team will be presented with a cheque from the John Clark Group at the Fulton Building, home of the department of Mechanical Engineering & Mechatronics, on Wednesday December 5th at 7.30 pm.
The sponsorship deal will cover three years and will be key to the students' efforts to succeed in the Formula Drive competition which challenges them to build and test a fully functional Formula-style racing car.
John Clark Motor Group operates 13 dealerships from Edinburgh to Aberdeen. The group's franchises include Audi, BMW, Land Rover, Mini, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen. It is one of Scotland’s top five motor groups and one of the top 200 UK private companies.
Last month the DRIVE team announced a three-year sponsorship deal with Michelin.
