Thirty eight students from the University of Dundee’s world-famous College of Life Sciences who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance will be congratulated at the annual prize-giving ceremony on Friday, 17 November.

The event celebrates the remarkable achievements of students from the last academic year.

3rd year student, Rosine Eisma, picked up an astonishing 8 awards including an Armistead Bursary, the Scheuer Medal, the Lippincott Human Anatomy Prize, the Stephen Williamson Prize and the Roger Booth Prize.

Among the prizes awarded are two given every year in memory of Jonathon Glover, a PhD student at the School who died when ice-climbing in Glen Doll, Angus, in 1982.

Lord Naren Patel, Chancellor of the University, will make the opening address. Lord Patel said "I am delighted to be present at this very important awards ceremony. These prizes are awarded for exceptional achievement and the students are to be congratulated for their hard work and intellectual endeavour over the year."

Dr Jim Elliott, Dean of the School of Life Sciences Learning and Teaching, said, "Once again we have the pleasure of recognising the substantial accomplishments of this number of Life Science students and of sharing the celebration with them and their families."
