Paralympians Caroline Baird and Alan McGregor will open the SOMA Festival at the University of Dundee’s Institute of Sport and Exercise this weekend.
SOMA - Special Olympics Motor Activities Project - provides regular sporting activities for people with profound and complex physical and learning disabilities.
Athletes from all over Scotland will be coming to Dundee to take part in the festival, which will involve a range of different sporting events.
"It's been brilliant working with Pamis and Dundee City Council Leisure and Communities Disability Development officer on this very special big event for People with profound and complex learning disabilities."
"Especially with being an athlete at one time myself, I never thought I would have the privilege of training these people with many different levels of ability."
"SOMA has given me the opportunity to do this. Thanks also to Dundee City Disability Sport for sponsoring the event."
Caroline Baird was a 400m Gold medalist at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000, while swimmer Alan McGregor won a Bronze Medal at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996.
Joyce Carle, one of the SOMA Festival Organisers, also competed at the Atlanta Games.
Jacqui Wren, Special Olympics Co-ordinator for Motor Activities, will also be present on the day.
